My practices are in the following locations

Godalming : The Lodge House Cattershall Road within easy reach of Farnham, Guildford, Haslemere and surrounding areas. Parking is available and I am located a 15 minute walk from Godalming Station.

Leatherhead : Stonebridge House, Bridge Street, Leatherhead, Surrey within easy access of Epsom,Cobham, Esher and surrounding area. There is nearby parking available and my practice is located on the first floor of the building.

Guildford: Parklands, 4 Beaufort, Railton Rd, Guildford GU2 9JX




How many sessions will I need?

Sessions usually take place once a week or fortnightly depending on your need and what will provided the best support for you. The therapy normally takes place at the same time, as this consistency helps people get the most out of their therapy. Making a regular commitment gives you a better chance of finding out why you are having difficulties and working out what you would like to do about them.


Self-help

Psycho education and self help techniques are very important elements of well being and developing a sense of agency in looking after oneself. You are free to download some of the material below for your personal use, with no charge.


What can I expect?

Our initial appointment will be an opportunity to explore issues and assess what is needed. It will consist of talking about yourself, your difficulties and what you feel is important about your situation. Rather than start the initial sessions with questions, I will usually follow your lead. Although this can sometimes feel uncomfortable at first and you may feel you are talking about a number of difficulties at once and in no particular order, I find it’s beneficial for clients to set the agenda.
Once you have set the lead in subsequent sessions and only where beneficial to your need and your sessions I may ask about your relationships, your work and other areas of your life, past and present, and to describe what if anything you have tried to do to help yourself before now and what you would like to see change in yourself.
Rather than start sessions with questions, I will usually follow your lead. Although this can sometimes feel uncomfortable when there are silences, I find it’s beneficial for clients to set the agenda.

You don’t need to prepare anything for your first appointment – the important thing is to try to be as open as possible about your problems. I find that people get the most out of this if they say whatever’s on their mind. The appointment is confidential and I am there to help you. After this first visit we will discuss how I might help you, either we will work on an open ended basis which means that you will come for as long as you need (which is something that we will review regularly) or we will decide at the outset how many sessions you will have.
